When you first open Limbo Cat, it can appear to be a little confusing. There are no reels around here, instead, there is just a little cat sat with a helmet on in a tank waiting to play. When you first start the game, you will need to choose your stake. The game can be adapted for different operators, but the version that we played allowed a minimum of €1 and a maximum of €50. When you have chosen your stake, you can then place your bet and wait for the next round of the game to start.
Limbo Cat is a multiplayer game, so there are other people playing as well, and you can watch their scores on a board to the right-hand side of the game itself. You can also enter the game with two different stakes yourself and stop them at two different times.
Once the tank starts rolling, you can then hit the Take button at any time. The idea is to hold your nerve as long as possible before the tank blows up. Sometimes it will barely get off the starting block before the little kitty is blown to smithereens, and other times it will get really far before meeting its doom. If you want to practice the game, then we have a free demo you can play here at GoodLuckMate.
Of course, with this not being a slot, you won’t find any symbols here. Instead, the game has its boxes, each of which contains a multiplier of some sort. The majority of the multipliers that players will run into are on the smaller scale, though, from time to time, there will be a huge one that will appear out of nowhere.
The maximum amount that can be won from the base game itself is х10.000, which is fairly substantial. However, the maximum amount that can be won from the game is actually a progressive jackpot, which is hidden away in one of the boxes on the track. You can keep an eye on the progressive jackpot at the top of the screen, with the total being displayed in the left-hand corner.
There are not traditional bonus features in this game, so don’t expect to find any Limbo Cat free spins on your adventure. The game has some dropdown bonuses which are Multipliers that will drop onto the track as the cat makes his journey. There are also some nasty little traps hidden away as well. Some of the boxes won’t contain multipliers, instead, they will contain mines which will blow the little cat sky high.
As we’ve already mentioned, one of the Limbo Cat bonus options is a jackpot. This is hidden away in one of the boxes and can be won at any time. The multiplayer element here also feels a bit like a special feature in itself, with players being able to watch to see who can hold their nerve the longest and get the highest score.
There is also the option of having a fixed amount to cash out of each round. For example, you can set this to x2, and whenever your initial stake doubles, the game will pull out for you.
It might sound like winning on Limbo Cat is nice and easy, but it really isn’t. The Limbo Cat RTP is 95%, and it is a high volatility game. The explosive gameplay mechanic here can make picking up a win very difficult, and above all else, very nerve-wracking.
