These “Life Points” describe how long Shieldmaiden Wilds will stick to their reels. Every Tree of Life scatter drawn while a Wild is present will add 1 point to their life bar. Since this game utilizes the cascading reel system, each tumbling sequence will deplete a single point from Shieldmaiden Wilds. 

The longer Wilds remain, the stronger their features become. As long as they have at least 1 HP remaining, they will first expand, then add an x2 multiplier, then replace the x2 with an x3 multiplier, and finally remove all minor symbols from the current spin. 

Tree of Life Scatters

The Tree of Life has two functions in this game. Firstly, each scatter symbol will add 1 Health Point to any Shieldmaiden Wilds drawn in the same spin. Multiple scatters will add multiple points. 

Secondly, at least 4 scatters are required to trigger the bonus game where special mechanics are in play. 

The Bonus Game starts with 3 free spins. Whenever your spins don’t yield any winnings, you’ll instantly get +1 free spin. Viking’s Legacy EveryWay has several amazing features and a few I didn’t like too much. Firstly, I adore how Shieldmaiden Wilds can give you colossal wins even on the lowest bet settings. Moreover, scatters won’t block your winning combinations as much due to the “EveryWay” paying system - they’ll even empower your Shieldmaiden Wilds with increased life points.

As for the downsides, I dislike the narrow betting range and think that most beginners will be confused as to how wins are calculated in this video slot.
