Flutter Extends Partnership with OpenBet in Australia

Flutter Entertainment will continue to have a presence in the Australian market after extending its deal with OpenBet through to 2025. The deal will see Flutter’s Sportsbet brand continue to operate by using the OpenBet platform.

Plenty of Success for Sportsbet

Flutter has found plenty of success in Australia with Sportsbet. The operator has attracted a huge number of visitors in recent months, with very strong third-quarter results being delivered in the country.

It is expected that these results will continue to grow thanks to an increase in cricket-betting. Australia is one of the biggest cricketing nations in the world, and sports bettors have flocked to the sport in recent months. There have been record-breaking numbers recorded for cricket betting. Flutter is hoping this will help deliver strong results in Q4.

Increased Interest in Australia

Like much of the world, Australia has seen an increase in online sports betting and gambling in recent years. In 2021, a predicted 18 different Australian brands have made the switch to online betting to attempt to take advantage of new verticals and boost their numbers.

With so many new customers coming in, Flutter and Sportsbet have found OpenBet to be a vital partner. The platform uses advanced, industry-leading technology and promises a top-quality sports betting experience for its customers. With so much competition and interest, this is seen as the key to success for Flutter.

OpenBet’s CEO Jordan Levin spoke of the deal. They said that the extension of the deal highlights how OpenBet is key to driving sports bettors around the world to the biggest brands in the industry.
