Kindred Group Brings Gamban to the US Through Its Unibet Brand
Gamban is an established self-exclusion software, and, thanks to Kindred Group, it will now be available to US consumers. The company has come to an agreement with Unibet, which is the most popular brand of the Kindred Group. This collaboration, however, isn't new as Kindred and Gamban have been working together ever since 2017. With this step, American players at Unibet will have easy access to Gamban's product.
Expanding an Already Successful Partnership
Teaming up with Gamban brings safer gambling a step closer to US online gamblers. With access to the software, players can block all US gambling sites following a short and simple process. The partnership also marks an important milestone for the Kindred Group as it is the first company to offer this service to its users in the US. Both parties expressed their excitement about the agreement.
While the Kindred Group stands behind a long list of established iGaming destinations, the one to offer Gamban to American users is Unibet. Meaning, at the time being, only Unibet members based in the US will be able to self-exclude via the service. Gamban makes it possible for those who need voluntary exclusion to achieve this on all their devices with a single registration. Once activated, it will block all betting and gambling sites targeting American consumers, not only Unibet.
This successful partnership has been active since 2017 when Kindred and Gamban inked their first collaboration agreement. Initially, their deal applied to the operator's operations in Australia and Europe.
Both Parties Excited About the Latest Collaboration
First to comment on the partnership expansion was Gamban's co-founder Jack Symons. He expressed the company's excitement to work with Kindred and Unibet. Moreover, he described the agreement as a significant step for the American iGaming industry. He also acknowledged that the US regulating bodies don't require operators to provide blocking or self-restriction software to consumers. That's another reason why Unibet's action was so appreciated. Namely, Symons highlighted how the operator increased player protection even without any requirements to do so.
Equally excited was Kindred Group's Head of Responsible Gambling and Research, Maris Catania. She pointed out how Unibet offered its services to users in Indiana, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Catania also mentioned that the operator planned to expand to Illinois and Iowa and already applied for the necessary licenses.
According to Catania, Kindred and Unibet wanted to bring their European experience in Responsible Gambling to the American iGaming market. One of the steps towards reaching that goal was the latest collaboration with Gamban. By 2023, the Kindred Group wants to have zero income from harmful gambling, Catania revealed. She also didn't miss out on the opportunity to mention that Kindred was the first operator to reveal the revenue share from harmful gambling.
