Pragmatic Play’s Recent Expansions

The extended partnership with Codere to forge two new markets is part of Pragmatic Play’s latest string of expansions worldwide. Its partnership with Luckia is the most recent deal by the content developer.

Pragmatic partnered with Luckia in July this year to fortify its market share in Spain. A while back the operator teamed up with Kaizen Gaming to extend its reach in Europe. That’s not all! April this year saw Pragmatic strike yet another deal with GGPoker to supply live gaming content.

The game developer boasts five new slot releases every month. But it also develops bingo and live casino games in its multi-content portfolio available through a single API.

Pragmatic continues its foray into Spain despite numerous new regulations. Some of them are more restrictive when it comes to sponsorships between sports teams and gambling companies.

Sportsbooks felt the dent with the number of active players dropping by 29.4%. This is between April and June. But iGaming seems to thrive. Quarter one of 2021 saw casino Gaming in the jurisdiction contributing 41.4% of the entire GGR. This is about €99.5 million to represent a 28.3% jump from 2020.
